In Uncertain Times, Consistent Community Support Is Our Greatest Strength
2025 has been a challenging year. Government programs have changed, food costs continue to rise, and the most vulnerable members of our community feel the greatest impact. Over 757,000 Oregonians — including 210,000 children and 130,000 seniors — had delays or reductions to their November SNAP benefits.
When Crisis Hit, Portland Responded
Feed the Mass provided grocery gift cards to 180 families affected by a SNAP benefit interruption. Through a generous partnership with Lardo and Sysco, we hosted a vibrant Thanksgiving community meal for 150 families.

This year, more than ever, we’ve witnessed the transformative power of what happens when we all join the table. Every person who volunteered, every donor who contributed, every partner who collaborated—you became the solution our community needed.
When we invite people to join the table, we’re not just offering a meal—we’re extending an invitation to be part of something bigger. And when our community steps up to be the solution, magic happens. Together, we’ve served hundreds of thousands of meals, but more importantly, we’ve created countless moments of dignity, connection, and hope.
